2/28/11

Currently 25.9, dew point 4.8, 6mph NW wind, we're in the 140 mph region of the jet stream, and it's clear and sunny.
Tomorrow, more of the same.

2/27/11

Today, the 27th, it is 27.9 degrees.  That's better.  Warmer.  The dew point is 21.9.  There is a 6mph west wind.  A trough could be starting in the jet stream over our area.  Overcast, stratus clouds.
Tomorrow, it should be brighter, less cloudy, and warmer still.

Saturday, February 26, 2011

2/26/11

9.7 here, dew point 3.4, relative humidity 75%, wind ZERO mph from the SW.  It's snowing, and has been lightly for much of the day.  There's a high pressure system practically on top of us, so in theory we should have no precipitation, but I'm sure there's something else at work to allow it.
So, what about tomorrow? How about overcast, about the same temperature, and some light wind.

Friday, February 25, 2011

2/25/11

Clear.  Cold.  Temp 14, Dew Point -0.8.  5mph wind from the NW.  Wisconsin is right in the 120mph Jet Stream, which is just barrelling over the top of us like a locomotive.  Also, there's a low pressure system just east of the Green Bay area, and a high pressure system northwest of WI in Canada.
What that'll do for us tomorrow is probably result in some snow, although the heaviest of it will fall in the center of that low pressure system, and we'll just get the scraps.

2/24/11

Temp: 30.6.  Dew Point: 15.4.  Wind: 8mph from NW.  Cloudy.
Tomorrow: clear.  Cold.

Wednesday, February 23, 2011

2/23/11

Current conditions are: temp, 32.7; dew point, 24.1; wind speed and direction, 5mph from the SE.  An occluded front has formed on the east side of WI, so we can expect great precipitation in that area.
We might get some snow tomorrow, but more than likely, it'll just be clear and cold.

Tuesday, February 22, 2011

2/22/11

Current temperature is 26.1, dew point is 15.4, 4mph SE wind.
A cold wave appears on the way, with some snow and associated weather appearing tomorrow.

Sunday, February 20, 2011

2/20/11

Temperature 25.7.  Dew Point 23.7.  Called it.  14mph wind from the NE.  There's a low pressure system located just south of WI, unclear yet whether that will bring the warm front in on us, or if that'll miss us and we'll still get cold and snow.
My prediction is with the latter.

Saturday, February 19, 2011

2/19/11

Today, the temperature is 30.4 degrees.  The Dew Point is 8.8.  Mostly cloudy with high Altostratus clouds. Clear, calm and somewhat chilly.  The National Map for the National Weather Service shows that a cold front  advancing in a southeastern direction, moving right in on us.  Also, we are enveloped in an area where heavy snow is possible.  SO...
Expect snow.  And cold, although perhaps not so much colder than present.  Dew Point very close to the temperature.

2/18/11

Currently 27, but it feels like 12, and I totally agree with that.  20 mph wind from WSW.
Tomorrow, partly cloudy, a slight raise in temperature.

Wednesday, February 16, 2011

2/16/11

52 degrees! Holy cats! 4 mph wind from the SE, barely noticable, mostly cloudy.
We're right now in the 120mph jet stream zone, which should bring up the weather from the SW to here.  Imagine rain.

Tuesday, February 15, 2011

2/15/11

Weather is nice.  Partly cloudy.  42.4 degrees.  6mph SE wind.
Tomorrow, expect there to be more of the same.  Hooray!

Monday, February 14, 2011

2/14/11

What a great weekend, and what a great continuation of weather today! Currently 25 degrees, dew point 19 degrees, 80% relative humidity, 5 mph wind that's barely noticable.  Partly cloudy.
Tomorrow should be nice too, we're out of the strongest part of the jet stream, in fact we're in a bit of a ridge at the moment, and there's no cold front moving in; we've got a warm front keeping the cold air at bay, indeed, it's a stationary front up in the Alberta/Saskatchewan area, and nothing but a warm front north of WI.  SO, temperatures in the 30's, and maybe some clouds.

2/11/11

IT'S SNOWING! 21 degrees, getting better.  Humidity 81%, resulting in light snow.  1009.3mb barometric pressure, which is lower than it has been recently, and as we know, low pressure systems result in precipitation.  6mph wind from the South.
Tomorrow, probable moderate snow, and warming up still.

Thursday, February 10, 2011

2/10/11

Currently 13.8 degrees out there, 6 mph wind from the west, clear and cold.
Tomorrow, it should be starting to warm up.  Considerably! High of 27, never looked so good!

Wednesday, February 9, 2011

2/9/11

Clear blue skies and cold.  9.3 degrees right now.  6 mph wind from the Northwest.
Tomorrow: expect a few clouds, and with them, a few degrees warmer temperature.

Tuesday, February 8, 2011

2/8/11

Bitter cold today, just 9.5 degrees, although it feels like -2.  Clear and sunny.  7 mile per hour west wind.
Tomorrow: expect it to stay this cold.  I say high of 10 degrees.  Partly cloudy.

Monday, February 7, 2011

2/7/11

13.1 degrees currently, partly to mostly cloudy, 11 mph West winds as noted by the weather station on Phillips roof, 4.5 mph West winds noted by the airport.  Not that bad, although chilly.
Tomorrow: overcast, remaining cold.  Very slight wind.

Sunday, February 6, 2011

2/6/11

Super Bowl! Anyway, what the weather "was" like at 4:30: overcast, but perfectly calm; also a nice temp.  Earlier in the day it had been partly cloudy with a slight wind.  The heavier clouds moved in during the day.
Tomorrow: I predict that the clouds which came are here to stay.  Overcast, with some wind.  Chilly.

Saturday, February 5, 2011

2/5/11

Today, overcast, 27.7 degrees, a little breezy.  How quickly it goes from yesterday's blue skies to this.
Tomorrow: still overcast, a little colder.

Friday, February 4, 2011

2/4/11

A very good day, great temperature of 31 degrees right now, little to no wind, partly cloudy.
Tomorrow's forecast: equally warm, sunny.  Maybe a few clouds, but overall good.

Thursday, February 3, 2011

2/3/11

Today: blue skies, 23.5 degrees.  The best day of many for this past week.  No wind.  Wish it would last.
Tomorrow: what the hey.  Blue skies, slightly colder, slight wind, but still pleasant.

Wednesday, February 2, 2011

2/2/11

I didn't believe it when I heard it yesterday, and looking at the sky today, I still could hardly believe it.  Clear blue skies today and brilliant sunshine.  Northwest winds.  Very chilly today: 11 degrees right now.
Tomorrow's prediction: this blue sky can't stay that way forever.  We'll have clouds tomorrow, and it'll be a little warmer.

Tuesday, February 1, 2011

2/1/11

Today's temperature is 17.4 degrees.  Moderate north winds.  Overcast.
Tomorrow's forecast is overcast, cold.
